Maltha Nederland
Every single second, we receive around 10 kilograms of waste glass. Maltha, uses this to create various raw materials for the glass and glass fibre industries. Simply put, we clean contaminated glass shards and fragments, which are then used to create new bottles, jars and windows.
The result? Raw materials such as sand, soda and dolomite retained in the environment. Glass is the perfect raw material for new glass; it is 100% recyclable, without ever losing quality.
Annually Maltha processes a total of over one million tonnes of glass. If wine bottles represented glass volume, that’s enough bottles end-to-end to encircle the globe – twice. Or enough standing bottles to fill more than 4,100 football fields. For many years Maltha has been one of the largest glass recycling companies in Europe.
Maltha’s end product? Clean glass shards serving as raw materials for the glass processing industry. In different colours, shapes and sizes, depending on customer requirements.
