Van Gansewinkel completes acquisition of Belgian solid waste management activities Veolia

Van Gansewinkel Groep has today completed the acquisition of the Belgian solid waste management activities of Veolia. The acquisition was announced on 15 June 2011 and is approved by the regulatory authorities. Financial details of the transaction will not be disclosed.
As a result of the operation, Van Gansewinkel in Belgium will have approximately 1,600 employees who generate annual revenues of approximately € 314 million. Van Gansewinkel aims to carry out the integration process quickly and effectively.
The acquired activities will merge into the brand name Van Gansewinkel. Partly due to the growth ambitions of Van Gansewinkel in Belgium, it is not expected that
the operation will affect jobs in the operational organization.
