Wood

We collect different types of wood through various channels. Among other things,
we turn old wood into raw materials for the timber and chipboard industry. We give the wood a second life, so the industry doesn’t need to cut down trees for new timber.
We collect waste wood from the timber processing industry, the construction and demolition sector and local council landfills with roll on, roll-off disposal containers. From the clean, untreated A-rated wood we make raw material for the wood and chipboard industry. The treated B-rated wood (painted, chipboard, etc.) and C-rated wood (including sleepers) is converted into (green) energy. After the removal of the worst pollutants, the B-rated wood is suitable for our new Biomass Energy Central (BEC) in Rozenburg and other (biomass) power plants. The C-rated wood goes to special incineration plants in Germany and Sweden.
The BEC installation is fuelled by waste wood. The electricity it generates is 100% green energy, preventing 65,000 tonnes of annual CO2 emissions from fossil fuels and 43 million m3 of natural gas
