International waste-to-product company, Renewi plc, announces that its 100th truck has taken to the road in the Netherlands.
The completion of Renewi’s 100th freshly branded truck marks a significant milestone in Renewi’s rebranding project, following the merger of Shanks and Van Gansewinkel earlier in the year. The integration of both strong legacy companies is progressing very well and will deliver target annualised €40m cost synergies to be delivered in financial year 2019/20, with an initial €12m to be delivered this year. Building the new Renewi brand is another important part of the company’s integration plans.
Renewi has a fleet of over 2,500 vehicles in the Benelux. These vehicles will all be rebranded or replaced in the coming years in line with the company’s carefully planned capital replacement programme. As part of the integration, Renewi is also rolling-out an upgraded and more efficient truck fleet.
Peter Dilnot, CEO at Renewi said:
“It is exciting to see our Renewi brand coming to life with the first 100 trucks now rebranded. Our Renewi brand represents our waste-to-product business model and our role at the centre of the circular economy. We are now looking forward to rolling out the next phase of truck rebranding in the coming months, as well as changing signage and other items across our estate.”
